Villa De Savoiroux - "La Castagnara" (Sec. XVIII)
E' una costruzione a tre piani con configurazione ad U ridisegnata nella seconda metà dell'Ottocento dall'architetto E. Linati sul luogo di una casa di villeggiatura dei Gesuiti.
La proprietà era infatti da secoli appartenuta ai monaci Benedettini di Arona nel cui monastero erano subentrati i Gesuiti.
S'innalza su un ampio spalto ed è circondata a monte da un folto parco ricco di castagni, mentre i giardini a valle hanno lasciato il posto ad una lottizzazione.

This is a three floor building with a U form re-drawn during the second half of the 19th century by the architect E. Linati on the place of a holiday house owned by Jesuits.
By centuries it was in fact owned by Benedectine monks of Arona in whose monastery Jesuits succeeded.
It stands on a wide glacis and upstream it is surrounded by a thick park rich in chestnut trees, while the gardens downhill left place to a parcelling-out.
